Driving While License Revoked (DWLR) – How can I regain my driver’s license? The courts view driving a car as a privilege, however most people view it as a necessity. People need to drive to earn a living, to take care of their children, to visit distant family members. Unfortunately, many people have lost the legal privilege to drive through a variety of circumstances. Some have given up hope of ever having a driver’s license again. Often the real origins of the license problem are economic or related to alcohol or substance abuse. Frequently the problem has nothing to do with the driver, but has been caused by a bureaucratic foul-up at the DMV or the Clerk of Court. If you have a new pending DWLR charge, then there are many ways to address the problem. However, where possible, the best way to handle the pending ticket is to cure the underlying problems that have caused your license to be revoked in the first place. If we can fix these underlying problems and regain your license, then we can probably also fix the new pending DWLR charge. The Robbins Law Firm believes that there is always reason for hope and that no driver’s license problem is insurmountable. We have developed a program where we help people regain their driver’s license. This did not happen by design, but in response to a public need that evidently was not being adequately met. It is a legal niche of which we are proud and which brings great relief to our clients. Our clients find it a wonderful feeling to once again be mobile and legal. Our program starts with a payment of $20.00 cash. We will then purchase a copy of your driving record from the NC-DMV and begin formulating a master plan designed to regain your driver's license. Often we have to contact various clerks of court and out-of-state DMVs to fill in details not contained in a driving record. From this information, we develop a master plan designed to regain your driver’s license. The plan lays out in a precise order various steps that must be undertaken and accomplished. These steps cannot be undertaken haphazardly. If they are done in the wrong order or wrong manner, then the problem will only be compounded. Depending on the complexity of your problem, the plan might have only one step or require dozens of steps. For each step a fee quote is given and an estimate of the court costs, fines and fees that will need to be paid. Because we give separate quotes for each step of the plan, the client can pay as we go through each step of the plan. This spreads out the financial impact of a more extensive plan. Not all revoked driver’s licenses can be regained quickly. Some holes have been dug too deep. However, if we cannot help you to regain your license immediately, then often we can shorten the time to when you can regain it. The thing to remember is that unless you start the process, then the day that you possess a valid driver’s license might never come. Don’t give up hope if your license is revoked. A journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step. |
